Crafting elegant ceramics
from a foundation in design practice

AVAILABLE WORK

PRODUCTION

The production of high quality, functional ceramics is the foundation of all my work.

My pieces cater to a variety of contexts, from everyday use at home to Melbourne’s vibrant hospitality scene.

CLASSES

Introductory workshops and 6 week term classes are available in collaboration with Richard Tomaino Ceramic.

Intro workshops are a one-off, 2 hour class that offers an insight to ceramics and wheel throwing. We’ll cover the fundamentals of wheel throwing in creating small to medium vessels. Two pieces per student will be trimmed, glazed, and finished on their behalf following the class.

Terms are designed for beginner students, and focus on the fundamental skills of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. Students will build a folio of pieces, and are encouraged to explore a variety of shapes and styles.

Check our booking page for availabilities.

TUTORING

Through working in RTC’s Open Studio Access and speaking with other students,
I have found that some feel that the transition between class based learning and independent development can be tricky to navigate.

To support students, 1-on-1 30-minute tutoring sessions are available on select days within RTC’s Open Studio Access.

These tutoring sessions are intended to provide focused guidance and give a boost to a student’s independent development.

Students are welcome to explore a variety of topics, for example -

  • Foundational and advanced skills

  • Shapes and styles

  • Design intention, ideation, and direction

These short sessions allow for setting up, warm ups, initial practice, and further practice afterwards.
